Shira Holtz

Hey there! My name is Shira, and I’m a multi-hyphenate theatre artist based in Westchester, NY. I love getting to create alongside other artists and believe that everyone has a story to tell :)

I’ve tried my hand at many different aspects of theatre - from acting to directing to prop-making to set building to office admin to box office associate and more - and I find every experience makes me a better collaborator and a more well-rounded theatre maker.

I have experience performing in immersive productions, staged readings, concert settings, premieres of new work, fully staged musicals, on traditional proscenium stages, in black box theatres, and more! I’m flexible and adept at adapting to whatever comes my way (I once assistant-directed a production of Matilda and went on off-book for Mrs. Wormwood with five hours’ notice!), and I prioritize bringing a warm, kind, and fun energy into every room I enter.

I'm currently working as a Teaching Artist and Dialect Coach at The Play Group Theatre in White Plains, and am also a co-founder and the Head of Marketing & Development at Amalgamation Theatre Collective!
